Aw crud. Yankees won game 2. Why can't broadcast TV carry all the playoff games? Some of us can't afford expanded basic. I think we need a government oversight committee to make sure I can see all the Twins playoff games. I am not asking that all the regular season games, be available. Is this so hard to do?
You would have seen Game 2 if you lived in the appropriate part of the country - Channel 5 in the cities carried ESPN's feed of the game. Of course, I didn't realize that, so while I was watching the game on ESPN, my VCR was taping the game on ABC, instead of last week's episode of "Lost". Drat. By the way, you should do what I do and get free cable. It's the best way to go.
My dad gets free cable. Apparently, your local cable access channel is a 'public good'. Therefore, your local cable company is required to hook you up for free to the free channel. It would make sence for the cable company to scramble, or somehow block the other channels that you don't pay for. In my father's case, they don't. He doesn't get the fancy channels like espn and fox news, but gets basic cable for free. Of course, since he didn't pay for those other channels, he programs his TV so that they don't come in. Watching channels he hasn't paid for would be stealing, and that wouldn't be the Christian thing to do.
Begs the question tho. How DO you get ESPN et. al. for free?
